The special edition 3D glasses have a small picture of Simba’s head between the lenses and they are orange. The 3D version of this Disney classic will only be in the theaters for two weeks starting from Friday September 16, 2011.

The Lion King was first released in 1994 and won the Oscar for Best Original Song, “Can You Feel the Love tonight” by Elton John and Best Original Score.
It also won the Golden Globes Award in both these categories along with Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.
It was an inspirational motive for creation of the Broadway musical, which won the Tony Award and became the seventh longest running musical in the history of Broadway in January 2011. This Broadway musical is now on stage worldwide.
The spectacular story is about a playful little cub who is the newborn son of the King and Queen of Pride Rock, peaceful paradise of the African plane.
He is supposed to be the king when grown up but because of his envious, evil and jealous uncle’s manipulations, who wants to take over the kingdom of Pride Rock, ends up leaving his home.
He goes through a lot of hardship apart from his family and home but manages to grow up and become a strong and powerful lion.
Then he goes back to claim his kingdom. He is able to kill the evil uncle and have a baby cub with his old childhood playmate. And the circle of life continues.
